Update
Jack got his test results back and altho it's not real good, it's probably best case scenario at this point. The cancer is in his right lower jaw and lymph nodes, but has not spread to his lungs, brain or anywhere else. He has two surgeries scheduled for April 22nd,the first to remove the right jawbone and lymph nodes and the second to do the bone grafts. The doctor said they will "unclip" the tibia (small bone) in whichever leg is best suited to be the donor, and remove it completely,"because you don't really need it". They will use that to, hopefuly, rebuild his jaw line.
Then, he should be in intensive care for two days, in hospital another ten days, then be sent home with a cast on the donor leg for another two weeks. With no broken bone to mend they should be able to remove the cast at that time. He should be able to get around with a walker then, and just a cane within a short time after that.
The doctors at UK Med Center have told him that the chances for a full recovery are very high at 98 to 99%!! He's going to have a rough go of it for a month or so, but with any luck, back doing what he loves doing by mid June, if only in a limited role for a while.
Once again, I thank all my friends for their prayers and kind words. They are appreciated more than you can possibly know!

@chasnfireflies - To all of you that were kind enough to respond to this original post about Jack, I just wanted to let you know that he is at peace now. He had suffered a stroke in mid March and lapsed into coma and had been on life support ever since. He passed away yesterday around 4:30 in the evening. Thanks for caring.
@angi1972 - Thanks Ang-could have been a lot worse
Yea! I am happy for Jack's news and yours, I will still keep him in my prayers.
@chasnfireflies - Thanks Kerry,he's a tough guy,but he's never faced this kind of challenge. You seem to handle stress fairly well, but you haven't written about yourself in a while, how are you doing????
I hope and pray all goes as well as planned. That can NOT be easy! Just a scare gets me more stressed than I can handle I think. Take care and have a wonderful evening .
@Saadias_World - Thanks Darlin'
I just know he's going to do great. I'm thinking about you and Jack!
By June, he'll look back and laugh at this.
Cheers to Jack and you for being strong throughout all this.
