The Pumpkin House
in
Kenova, WVa
Ric Griffith, the man behind the famous Kenova Pumpkin House, has carved over 25,000 pumpkins since 1978. Every year, he puts thousands of carved jack-o’-lanterns on the porch, roof, and yard of his 115-year-old Victorian house. It’s kind of like a pumpkin wonderland
Last year’s display included a fantastic 40' by 40' wall of carved jack-o’-lanterns with lights synchronized to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.
I believe this year Ric is going to shoot for over 3100 carved pumpkins on display!
Happy Halloween!
When Ric's not busy carving pumpkins, he spends his days at
Griffith and Feil"s Pharmacy and Soda Fountain in Kenova.
I'll post some more pictures of this 50's style soda fountain later. You won't believe what this place looks like inside.
