"freebies"
Our neighbor,Tootie, asked Karen if she would like to have these two wicker rocking chairs for the porch last weekend. She said she had them setting beside her pool for a couple of years and wanted to replace them with some resin loungers.
I think with a little work and a fresh coat of paint, these two are keepers.
Hmmmm. Kinda wishin' I hadn't taken these pictures now. Looks like I'm gonna have to get off my Butt and get the porch sanded down and painted too!
Groannnnnn!!! Does it never end?????lol

They look good to me just the way they are. I would keep them for sure!
@SaadiaOnline - Only 10?
I totally dig the rockers--it sounds like you have great neighbors!!!
Home improvement is constant, isn't it? I feel like once I finish one project, there are 10 more waiting to be completed.
@Danth - No,it never does,my friend,but we don't really want it to,do we?/lol
Looks like you scored!...
And no, it never ends!

Yeah, I am complaining alittle. She's busting my ass already. The only reason I wanted a job in the first place was because Adam wont get one, and somehow the bills have to get paid. I WANTED to go to school.. which isnt going to happen now. So, I'm bummed that I'm working instead of being able to do what I wanted/needed to do. Adam is killing me, he complains that I got a job and he didnt, that he has to watch the baby and he wont clean the house or anything while I'm at work, and as soon as I get home he leaves to go fishing. So I go to work, come home, clean and watch the baby. Adam's getting a free place to live, is complaining all the damn time, and wont lift a finger to help even alittle and gets to do as he pleases. Its fucked up!!! If he was working, I'd be damned that he'd come home to a dirty house. He'd also have dinner waiting on him. I understand he needs a break from the baby when I get off, she's a wild child and it is alot of work. But however, I need a break when I get home from work just the same. Sorry about the rant and rave.
@buddly47 - hey, you know, back country is back country ((smiles)) maybe someone migrated north and brought the idea with them ??? Trughfully I can understand - when I go camping, I have been known to bring my bed - and the kitchen table. Much to be said for the comforts of home al fresco - yes?
@BianchiStreet - I was under the impression that the sofa and TV on the front porch was kind of an Appalachian thang!! guess not,huh?hahahahaha
Nope... I don't think it does! lol
They are GREAT rockers!
I think the porch could probably go one more year too... just relax! lol
Have a great day Bud!
Whooooa! SCORE!
You know, in Vermont, form follows function: ANY furniture not being used indoors instantly becomes porch furniture...sofas and recliners, especially ((laughing...laughing)). My very favorite was (and probably still is) someone who put an entire living room - including the television - out in their backyard! hmmmmm, now ....this sounds like a great summer hobby: photographing backyard recliners , , ,I wonder if I can get their owners to pose in them for me . . .
LOVE your "new-to-you" rocking chairs - with or w/out a fresh coat of paint!
Sandra
