Clouds over the Ohio
The flood waters finally went down over at Virginia Point so I drove over at lunch to look around.
Though it had been grey and overcast all day, the clouds were spectacular!
The work on this old river never stops, low water, high water, or come what may, the cargo and freight keeps moving!
Hard to believe the 1st of December is only two days away, and it's in the mid sixties here today!
Won't be for long, tho. Lows in the 20's and highs in the 30's coming this weekend!
Speaking of work, I should be getting back to mine, lol.
See ya next time, peeps!

Nice pictures! We HAVE had an amazingly warm fall this year. I can't believe it's taken this long to 'anticipate' our first heavy snowfall. We're supposed to get 4-8 inches tonight.
they are beautiful!
Great photos. Beautiful scenery. I hadn't heard about the flooding. I hope it didn't sweep too much crap into the yard.
@Ricardo98 -It freezes over every now and then. I think I posted some pics of it last winter.
Does the river freeze or does it move too fast? I was used to the Detroit River and Great Lakes closing up for the winter. Ice cutters to keep the ferry open.
@Cestovatelka - Thank you!
@Roadkill_Spatula - Took these at Viginia Point, the confluence of the Ohio and Big Sandy rivers. It's a beautiful little park. And, thank you, I'm glad to be back!

Gorgeous scenes. The Mississippi has always fascinated me. I grew up reading Mark Twain.
And yay! Buddly's back!
Wonderful photos! The clouds are great but the one with the flag and the green grass - perfect!
Beautiful shots, "Bud"! Wow! I love the way you captured the water with the trees and tree branches "framing" the scenes! Cool!
HUGS,

Feeling the November
the blues and greys
chumming up to autumn
too little too late
for soon winter will wipe away
the soft and subtle greens and golds
