Going down! And yep, I got pics!
Got home yesterday evening around five and the floodwaters had receeded about two feet.
Couldn't believe the mess it's leaving behind this time! May be the worst I've ever seen.
Rubber balls, tires and rims, driftwood, logs, sticks, bottles, and even a plastic 55 gallon drum!
Good grief!
This is going to be a fun weekend coming up! The river is supposed to be back under flood stage by later tonight.
While it was up the local duck and geese populations had a field day with it, tho!
The fish come in to get at the earthworms and nightcrawlers and the ducks and geese come to get the little fishes. Glad there's no gators in Ky. or they would come to get the ducks and geeses! Course, we Kentuckians are pretty good at knocking off Gators, we did it twice this year!
Haha, sorry Lena, couldn't resist!
Guess every cloud does have it's silver lining, doesn't it?
It's supposed to be in the high sixties here this weekend.
Anybody wanna come over for a little cookout?
If ya do, make sure you don't forget your gloves. And shovel. And maybe a rake or two.

@nurseynursey - Just posted some pics of the cleanup this morning. Wow, that mud sounds like a real pain in the keester! Hang in there!
How'd the clean up go? hell of a winter up here in Vermont. Now we've got mud so deep the school buses can't get up the roads to take the kids to school. Took my car to the garage today to get mud and rocks hosed out of the wheels. Town truck came up with a load of gravel to fix our road and got stuck in the mud. Everybody's in the same boat. Gonna be cold all week so the frost won't be coming up out of the ground for a while yet. Monday it snowed again. Not complainin', just sayin'. Happy Spring!
What a mess! Went geocachng and several caches were missing due to flood waters washing them away!
I hope everything got cleaned up with some sort of ease! But like you said, at least some animals benefited
