For WildWoman - The Things That We Collect.
Tamy (wildwomanofthewest) has asked us to show off what we collect.
Karen loves these Nutcracker figures!
I seem to have an affinity for picking up cigarette lighters.
We have a complete service for 12 with most of the serving pieces of Royal China's Currier and Ives blue pattern.
Slightly smaller collection of the pink Memory Lane pattern.
Karen's amber Tiara dinnerware collection. I built the china cabinet, btw.
Don't know if you'd call it a collection, but we have a heck of a lot of cookbooks!
I have a few shotglasses.
I've managed to pick up a few guns in my 62 years. Some of them were handed down from my father and grandfather.
I had a Federal Firearms License for a few years when I was younger and am still licensed to carry concealed.
These are the two that I carry.
May be time to put these things on the market to start my final collection.
Large stacks of crisp $100 bills!
Whadayathink?

@heart beep come on down but let's have spoon bread instead of regular corn bread better yet both,LOL.
@Zeal4living - Books make a great collection!
@dinhtrinh - The tall one is a shooter glass. The four Crown Royal glasses were a gift from another Xangan, Angi1972.
@shellisland - @murisopsis - @ItsWhatEyeKnow - @the_rocking_of_socks - @Wild_and_Wicked - @bmojsilo - @Karens_Potpourri - Thanks guys!
@looking_inside_me - Start collecting the same thing I'm going to collect next, $100 dollar bills. You can't go wrong with those!
@WildWomanOfTheWest - You have a pistol packing mama! Somehow, that just makes sense to me, you being a firecracker and all! lol
Now the question is Harold, is your cookbook on that shelf, with all of your yummy recipes?
Thanks for sharing your collections with us! I love the Currier and Ives dishes! When I come to dinner with you and Karen, please serve my cornbread and stew on the blue collection! hee, hee
I really do like the china cabinet you built
I am not much of a collector...except for books.
Nice guns =)
My father and brother have similar gun collection. They scared me and I don't like holding them. But I like bows and arrows, and my brother is good with them.
What an impressive collection. I have my own china collection, but yours is better!
Thank you for sharing. Among those, I like your shotglasses collection the most. What do you use that tall glass for (4 similar ones)?
Those are some sexy guns you have there, sir. I like, muy macho!
Great collections!
His and hers collections! Very nice!
These are good collections and, my goodness, the dishes are beautiful! Peace
That is quite a collection there. I love the Tiara, my mother still has hers as well. She has each of those items you have. I do not have a collection of anything anymore, either sold, broke, stolen or something.
I love Karen's Tiara~ I used to collect the clear Ponderosa Pine. My momma was a gun collector when I was young~ she still carries a pistol. She's one who probably shouldn't.
Thanks for letting us take a peek at you and Karen's collections!
@Bricker59 - You enjoy putting me on the spot, don't you?
@tialoca1313 - Thanks. I'll look forward to seeing yours!
@buddly47 - Question now is...who do you love more Bud? Me or Steve? LOLOL
Who has the cottage on a fish filled clear clean lake Bud? Me or Steve? ROFLMAO!!
eclectic...i guess i should play along...how very cool that yu built the cabinet to house the china....
@Bricker59 - It's a Hawe's Arms Buffalo Scout. In .22 LR. Great little plinker, but Steve's already got dibs on it.
I'd kill for that old Colt? six shooter.
@guestbrief - Thanks!
I like the china!!
@KickingSheep - Hmmmm, I could use a gun cabinet. Me and your dad need to talk!
@buddly47 - Cheers!
Go for it! Can't wait to see that $100 bill collection.
Wow, you have some fantastic collections!
My collections aren't as specific as yours... I'm more of a pack-rat!
My dad has a collection of guns and riffles. I think he only keeps them cause he also seems to collect gun cabinets. He has more cabinets then he needs for what guns he has!
I love all the china!
@DickDoktorII - Sure thing! Soon as you mail me a couple of hundred $1 dollar bills. One by one will do. I can count. lol
@fortheloveofblogging - I have a lot less guns now than I used to when I younger. I was almost gunpoor when I carried my FFL. Never lost money on a gun, tho. Theyre a good investment!
I could use that 6 shooter -- think you could take it apart and mail it to me piece by piece?
As stated before, your collection of china is beautiful. I love the red patterned one! My dad would be in LOVE with your gun collection. He has his own little collection of firearms
@buddly47 - One day they will because they will remember them being set up in your house growing up. Thats cool. The stuff my gramma gives us I figure she bought it at some estate sale while she was manic or something.. Has no sentimental meaning at all.. Huge difference there.
@MomGoneMadd - There's just Karen and I here. We wish the kids would take them, but they don't want them right now.
@buddly47 - hahah exactly..
@Passionflwr86 - Thank yew!
@sassyjessie - Built it in the basement with no plans. Just me and my tablesaw.
@seedsower - A hundred ones beats nothing!
@MomGoneMadd - We dust them every now and then! lol
What the heck do you do with all those dishes? My gramma keeps giving me china sets and I havent a clue what to do with them and I dont want to display them in the house. I thought about giving them away because what am I suppose to do with them? Mr Shann collects shot glasses, he has an entire room full of them.
Interesting. I like the cabinet you built!
I love the Memory Lane pattern and the beautiful cabinet you made, I like the way the knobs match the Amber glass the color paint and the unpainted wood showing.
My dad collected lighters too.
I was looking at my DVD collection and thought the same thing, I need to sell a lot of them off. I just have too many.although I doubt it will get me a stack of $100's....maybe a hundred $1's.
wow. I'm impressed with the cabinet. like you cut the wood and everything?
@Jaynebug - Nope, they've all seen duty, at one time or the other!
@srheam - Yeah, I want those to be my biggest collection! LOL
Might be a nest egg for retirement? Those shot glasses for collection purposes only? hehehe. Nice collections Buddlyman
Love, love the china collections.
Also like the idea of collecting $100 bills
