I could use some help here.........
On July 20th 2010, I will have been married to this lovely lady for 39 straight years.
That means I've bought 38 anniversary gifts, and I'm running out of ideas!
Any anniversary present suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
39 years. Wow! That's 16 years longer than I was single!
But, who's countin'?

Time flies when you're having fun!

Congratulations! What did you end up doing?
She is so pretty! Happy belated Anniversary.
Almost forgot. Happy Anniversary!
I'm thinking a trip to Hawaii, diamond earrings, a new dress, shoes and a few dozen roses would suffice.
Congratulations on such a successful, long-lasting marriage. You two are a rareity in this world. I am awed.
Give her a whole day to her favorite spot, you and her. That is my idea. It sounds simpler than actually buying a gift. Unless she wants one.
Happy Anniversary!
One person on here told me to do a jar of memories. You get a jar and write memories on pieces of paper and let her read them everyday. You can put more in as time goes on as a suprise.
Happy Anniversary!
My husband and I have been married 38! We both have all the 'stuff' we need so I like Lyne's suggestion! You could mat and frame the picture. The only other thing I can think of is to find a bottle of the perfume she wore when you met - there's something about scent and memories! Your bride has a beautiful smile. Peace
I like the idea of a rose bush or two if you have room to plant them. I am not much of a jewelry person but I like earrings. Maybe get her some diamonds or her birthstone. We celebrated our 32nd in April. It gets hard trying to come up with something original! I am sure she will love whatever you give her. And I also like the idea of a photo. We like going to concerts, so if there is someone playing close by during that time that might be something you would both like. Be sure to let us know what you decide! Happy Anniversary and congrats to you both!!
Happy upcoming wedding anniversary .
Gift ? Write for Karen a letter of love put in a bouquet .
In friendship
Michel!
@buddly47 - Hmmmm.
Hmmmm, how about taking some old pictures in to a CVS or RiteAid and getting them restored and framed? We did that for my grandparents anniversary.
All I can come up with is this. You go out, find her favorite flowers. Have them waiting when she walks into the house. Conjure up her favorite dinner, ~ make something really special yourself. Take her out for a cruise and go parking like you did many years ago - when you first started seeing her and remind her of when you first hooked up. Old memories like that can have a profound affect, I bet both of you have some fun, just remembering the past together. Have fun !
Have you bought her a manicure or massage?
I don't believe I'm wise enough yet to answer this question, but congratulations!
Mornin Glorie - Congratulations - I'm sure if she's kept you around for this long, you really know what she likes
We just completed 38 years - Good For You Two
Take her to the place you both married. It would be a wonderful gift and as reminder of your love and faithfulness to her.
@buddly47 -
doh'! I see
and props to you being a chef!!
Well, that is a nice round number. We tend to remember the day by giving each other a work of art. Usually we pick out a local artist we know. But heck, if she is still with you after that long I suspect whatever you decide she will love.
My she is a beautiful woman. Buy her a star and name it after her. Google, "buy a star".
That's so sweet. 39 year, sheesh! I hope I have a long lasting marriage. I say diamonds are a woman's best friend

@Jaynebug - Somehow I think she wants a little sumpin more than that, Janebuggy!
@Karen- Mrs. Buddly -
You already have the gift. You got Buddlyman!
@guypithecus - Those are all really good ideas, but not sure I'll have time to do that before the 20th. Thanks!
@youngnsassy - Good idea! Our first date was at a folk festival, and went really well, thank you!
@airbornerose - Thanks! Congratulations on your first. Hope you see many, many more!
@HisKeiki - We love the beach but can't get there right now. If you look thru my site you'll see that I cook all the time, so we may go out to eat. We don't do that very often. Thanks!
@WordsandThoughts - @lilxwunxnxluv - @nbmrockon - Thanks for the suggestions. I've sure got a lot more input on this than I thought I would!
@Ricardo98 - I'd love to go back to Thailand, maybe for the 40th?
awwwww!!! Congratulations! 39 years is impressive (and yes, oh-so-romantic!)
I'm in no position to give any advice on anniversary gifts (21 years of living, and what have I learned? Nothin'!), but I think whatever you choose to give her will be special
(I think doing something together that day would be fun! Like...horseback riding together or something!)
congratulations
A Pandora bracelet. =]
A vacation to Chaing Mai, Thailand. Ride an elephant and visit the long neck people (with the rings around their neck) on a trip into the mountains. Shop and eat delicious food.
@Mrs Buddly - a dh with good taste is a treasure!
