The Real Reality......
*something borrowed*
but, not blue
The Real Reality. . .
"YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY"
Actually, you learn something old every day. Just because you've just
learned it doesn't mean it's new. Other people probably already knew it.
"YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU (When you die)"
Well... that depends on what it is. If it's your dark blue suit, you
can certainly take it with you. In fact, not only can you take it with
you, they can probably put some of your things in your pockets.
"TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY"
Not necessarily true. Today is another day. We have no idea what
tomorrow is going to be. It might turn out to be another day, but we can't be
sure.
If it happens, I'll be the first to say so. But, you know what? By that
time, it will be today again.

Oooh I really like the first one!
There is usually another side to every coin.
Hmmm, but just like the "pre-owned" cars I buy...it's new to me! : ) Although these days it is just as likely to be something I USED to know but have forgotten...
I love the 3rd paragraph. There is really never tomorrow but the present moment...thank you for sharing this.
In fact , we are never sure about anything . All is appearances and fugitive.

Wow, you Sure Must Have been BORED today. LOL Like it Tho'.Love you sir.
Lol! This is good stuff and a good example of why I like chewing the fat with the boys.
Way to mess with some good sayings. Not that they did not deserve it.
that was interesting to read
I read alittle calender thingy everyday today was -july 6th The secret of humility is the ability to handle the subtle timptations of one's role, authority and leadership.
make me think everyday-my hubby says they're not funny
Quite smart!
@the_rocking_of_socks - NICE! ain't tried that one. just the boring 2- magnifying lens focused sunlight fire... but earwigs? thats where Mom let us explode her yellow neck squash after discovering the whole crop was lost to them.
@I_once_was - Or laying out a line of cinnamon, and watching them explode after they eat it. Same thing happens with couscous.
@the_rocking_of_socks - don't forget modeling cement/glue and how have 'em stick around and catch fire.
You are a very wise man.
@I_once_was - Haha, I love messing with ants. I'm a big fan of lacing honey with Borax, and watching those little bastards eat it all up.
Great points!
This brings on a memory when I was a kid. I was talking to this old man and I mentioned tomarow. The old man looks at me with the most serious face you can imagine. He says to me; "Tomarow never comes." That stopped me right in my tracks and his statement completely took me. The thing about it is, he was absolutely right. Tomarow never comes.
@buddly47 - http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2006/06/060629-ants-stilts.html in case you get bored.
@I_once_was - LOL, I still just squish 'em!
ah but will my life have this moment of calculation like that day I learned to f- with the ants instead of squishing them you needed only put 'em stilts and thus totally f up the patterns by which they live their lives and find their way. that was a good day of sciency learning. I was momentarily ashamed i had never known any better way to f-- with the ants outside of squishing them.... cruelties can continue towards insectoid vermin.
heh... very true!
Reality is very tricky, but I think you have a handle on it.
haha...oh so true
A great challenge to conventional "wisdom"!
We should never just assume that we have tomorrow,so right.
Ever see the movie "You Can't Take it With You" ? I love it!
Oh, I love the smile you just put on my face Harold! These are classic!
