Kentucky's defense has long been the butt of jokes, more a necessary evil than frightening unit.
Louisville won't be taking shots at the Cats' defense any time soon.
The Cats thoroughly dominated the latest edition of the Governor's Cup rivalry, throttling the Louisville offense en route to a 27-2 victory in front of the third-largest crowd in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium history.
UK's offense was as anemic as preseason scrimmages indicated but the defense may have been even better than expected, returning two fumbles for touchdowns and picking off three Hunter Cantwell passes in the final 6:37 of the game to serve notice that it won't be a pushover anymore

I was even staring at it in the middle of the night. 11 hour to kickoff... 10 hours to kickoff... 9 hours to kickoff... etc. Have you been checked for obsessive compulsive behavioral tendencies, Bud?... You really should seek help!... On the other hand, I would completely understand such behavior when it comes to being a Charger fan, but Kentucky?
