Canadian Geese on the Banks of the Ohio
Hadn't seen this before. Canadian Geese, in this area, usually congregate at Greenbo Lake State Park, about 15 miles away.
So much so, and so many, that the beach area at Greenbo has been closed for years now due to polluted waters from the droppings.
They are pretty though.
I'm probably getting too close for their comfort
They're getting restless!
HAH!
I could actually feel the "propwash" from their wings when they took off!
Cool!

@SaadiaOnline -Never asked, maybe he prefers it. Doesn't really matter, either one gets my attention, usually.haha
How come Dan calls you 'Harold?' I know that's your real name and everything--but you're just such a Bud!!!!
The geese are super cool--love the photos!
Personally, I would like to be flying north right now. WAY north. Or to the mountains or a beach. Being land locked in this heat is miserable. The idea of just flying away sounds marvelous.
@adventofreason - When I see them flying south for the winter,I too wish I could go with them!!
@angi1972 - If they come back, I will!! LOL
@Danth - Oh my, could you hear that groan from out there in CA? That was a bad one. I supposed that's why I laughed.
duck, duck, duck, GOOSE! They are beautiful and I love their honk, but you are right, they can really muck up a place. When I see them flying overhead, there is something about it that makes me whistful. Sometimes I wish I could just fly away with them.
HA! That's what I would have done! WE are naughty sneaking up on water fowl to make them fly... DO it again! lol
@Danth - Haha. Yeah, they can be real nasty, last thing I want to see is thousands of 'em on the riverbank right by my house!
They are pretty... until you get goosed! They can sure be nasty! Great pictures, Harold.
