Got home yesterday evening around five and the floodwaters had receeded about two feet.
Couldn't believe the mess it's leaving behind this time! May be the worst I've ever seen.
Rubber balls, tires and rims, driftwood, logs, sticks, bottles, and even a plastic 55 gallon drum!
Good grief!
This is going to be a fun weekend coming up! The river is supposed to be back under flood stage by later tonight.
While it was up the local duck and geese populations had a field day with it, tho!
The fish come in to get at the earthworms and nightcrawlers and the ducks and geese come to get the little fishes. Glad there's no gators in Ky. or they would come to get the ducks and geeses! Course, we Kentuckians are pretty good at knocking off Gators, we did it twice this year! Haha, sorry Lena, couldn't resist!
Guess every cloud does have it's silver lining, doesn't it?
It's supposed to be in the high sixties here this weekend.
Anybody wanna come over for a little cookout?
If ya do, make sure you don't forget your gloves. And shovel. And maybe a rake or two.
