  • Back to the Milton Flea Market

It's supposed to be 68 and sunny today. I think we'll go to Milton, WVa today and see how they're recovering from the devestating fire they suffered last year.

You can read about it HERE.

This will be our first trip back since the fire. Should be interesting, I'll take some pics!

See y'all when we get back!

  • RYC: We're open to cooking them any way that would be good. Rabbits will be grilled for sure, I have a cookbook written by Ted Nugent that has some good recipes for squirrel. No matter how they're cooked, it's gonna be a great party!  (copious amounts of cold beer)

  • I love flea markets!

  • Find anything good?

  • I remember that post, that was sad that this happened,I hope it is prosperous again and that you find some good stuff. There isn't much that makes me happier than a good find at a flea market.

  • Gosh, yes, I remember that.  I hope you have a lovely day and totally looking forward to some pics when you return.

  • Wow!  That is some fire!  Yikes!
West Virginia is lovely countryside.  Drove through there last year on the way back from our trip to Virgina (Jamestown, Yorktown, Virginia Beach).  It reminded me very much of home in places.  The place where I grew up in Southern Indiana is hilly, full of old trees, smells of antiquity and days gone by, earthy....both the terrain and the people.  I always said its "like a little piece of Kentucky set in Indiana"....until we drove through there and then I said, "It's like a little piece of West Virginia...etc" lol.  It was uncanny!
